Musanze Hosts Cycling Mass Sports Event Promoting Healthy Living and Community Safety
A cycling mass sports event was held in Musanze City on Sunday morning, bringing together local leaders, security organs, and members of the community in a strong demonstration of the importance of sports and healthy lifestyles.
The event was attended by the President of the Musanze District Council, Michel Ndayambaje, Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Theobald Kayiranga, members of security organs, and many other participants.
Speaking to participants, Vice Mayor Theobald Kayiranga, together with the District Police Commander, called on the community to stay away from drug abuse and illicit or substandard alcoholic beverages, highlighting their negative impact on individuals, families, and community safety.
Participants were also encouraged to embrace sports as an important way of promoting healthy living, strengthening social cohesion, and improving overall well-being. The leaders further urged residents to strengthen cooperation with security organs and actively participate in efforts to prevent crime and maintain peace and safety in their communities.
