On September 13th, 2025, in all sectors that make up Musanze District, youth participated in Special Youth Community Work for the first quarter of the 2025–2026 fiscal year. 

At the district level, the event took place in Gacaca Sector, Kabirizi Cell, Mata Village. It was led by the Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Mr. KAYIRANGA Theobald along with The Deputy Youth Council Coordinator at the district level, Mrs. UMUTONI Nadeje and the community work focused on house construction works: Plastering a house for a vulnerable resident and building them a kitchen. 

Other Participants ahead of youth included a representative from Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS)/Musanze and the Executive Secretary of Gacaca Sector. 

Ms. UMUTONI Nadege, Deputy Youth Council Coordinator, explained the registration process for the 2025 Youth Connect Awards, encouraged youth to register, and asked them to help others register as well. The RCS Musanze representative encouraged eligible youth to enroll in national service programs under their institution. 

Mr. KAYIRANGA Theobald, the Vice Mayor of Musanze District, urged youth to Maintain a culture of cleanliness, encourage school attendance among children, uphold Rwandan values and taboos, emphasizing these as foundations for personal development and national progress.
