Ralga, RHA and RPPA set to review public infrastructure and IT contracts to improve service delivery

The Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Development, Mrs. Uwanyirigira Clarisse, recently received a delegation from RALGA Rwanda, Rwanda Housing Authority, and Rwanda Public Procurement Authority, led by Mr. Nkurikiyimana Etienne.

The meeting centered on the implementation and compliance with contracts related to the maintenance of public buildings and information technology (IT) systems, in terms of Rapid assessment of Local Government contract for regular maintenance of Government building. These contracts play a crucial role in ensuring that government infrastructure remains functional and that digital services operate efficiently.

Discussions specifically aimed at identifying challenges affecting the execution of these maintenance and IT contracts. Participants examined gaps in performance, coordination, and adherence to agreed standards, which may hinder effective service delivery.

The engagement also provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and propose practical solutions. Emphasis was placed on strengthening contract management, improving accountability, and enhancing collaboration among institutions involved.

By addressing existing shortcomings and aligning on corrective measures, the meeting is expected to contribute to more efficient service delivery and better management of public assets across the district.
