At the District Headquarters, a meeting was held to prepare for the 20th edition of Kwita Izina, chaired by the Governor of the northern province Mr. MUGABOWAGAHUNDE Maurice, accompanied by the District Mayor Mr. NSENGIMANA Claudien and security officials. The meeting aimed to set strategies that will ensure the smooth running of the Kwita Izinaceremony. 

While opening the meeting, the Governor called on participants to continue improving hygiene in all areas, ensure security by strengthening night patrols, and keep mobilizing citizens to attend the event on time, well-groomed, and in an orderly manner. 

Present were the Provincial restricted Security Committee, the Executive Secretaries of sectors and cells, as well as the village leaders from Kinigi, Nyange, Cyuve, Musanze, Muhoza, and Kimonyi sectors.
