Launch of a program to address human security issues, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year

In Gashaki Sector, the District Mayor, Mr. Nsengimana Claudien, officially launched a program to address human security issues, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, ensuring that solutions involve the participation of the residents themselves. This event brought together various leaders from the village level up to the district level, security organs, and other bodies concerned with the social welfare of the people. 

They analyzed existing problems and discussed ways to solve them, promoting cooperation among all stakeholders. Following Gashaki sector, the Mayor together with the brigade commander for Musanze, Burera, and Gakenke district Lt. Col. Shadrack Karamira, visited Remera Sector to jointly explore with various stakeholders ways to permanently resolve challenges affecting the citizens’ well-being; human security issues. 

A team led by the vice mayor in charge of social affairs engaged with various leaders in Busogo sector where Leaders grouped by the cell provided ideas on how to resolve these problems quickly. Another team, led by vice  Mayor in charge of economic development Mrs. Uwanyirigira Clarisse, worked in Muko and Nkotsi Sectors, where leaders from various levels have jointly analyzed the nature of the problems and how to address them. 

This launch focused on discussions aimed at jointly analyzing with various stakeholders the issues affecting the well-being of citizens and challenges affecting families, as identified in the New Profiling 2025-2026. The goal is to coordinate efforts, exchange ideas, and take firm, sustainable measures to resolve these issues. Additionally, a timeline was set for activities in each sector to ensure that the concerns raised in the New Profiling 2025-2026 are effectively addressed. 

The citizens were reminded to attend regularly community night patrol, initiating professional community night patrols, Respect the laws and instructions given by leaders and prevent the consumption of illicit homemade alcohols. In Remera Sector, residents got warning of making good use of the "Give Directly” support, that they received and demonstrate cooperation fighting against drug abuse and in managing security as the security is everyone’s responsibility.
