"At the food market known as 'Kariyeri', a hygiene and Early Childhood Development awareness campaign was held, led by the Vice Mayor Mr. KAYIRANGA Theobald. Traders, shoppers, the market leadership, and the Health and Sanitation Officer at Muhoza sector attended the campaign. 

The Vice Mayor urged the public to maintain personal hygiene, cleanliness of their clothing, workplaces, and the toilets they use. He also encouraged them to take care of their children's upbringing by enrolling them in the nearby ECD center at the market, and to participate in the Umuganura celebration scheduled for August 1, 2025.

The Health and Sanitation Officer Mr. KAMANZI Jean Bosco urged residents  of Muhoza sector, traders and shoppers of Kariyeri market to comply with all sanitation rules, to pay their contibution of community-based health insurance and  taking care of their children
