Consultative Meetings on human security issues
Yesterday, July 9, 2025, the mayor of Musanze district Mr. Nsengimana Claudien held a consultative meeting to discuss human security issues, at Kimonyi sector headquarters. This meeting brought together executive secretary of sector, the district director of health Mrs. Mukayoboka Vestine, Police commander of Cyuve Police Station, sector and cell-level staff, Members of the Human Security Task Force and All elected local leaders from the sector, cell, village and Isibo levels.
The meeting participants jointly reviewed the human security issues profiling list, promotion of hygiene and Security. After analyzing the issues and exchanging ideas, attendees committed to intensifying efforts to encourage citizens to address their own problems. Those without the capacity to solve their issues will be supported, with the aim of resolving all identified issues by August 10, 2025.
The Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, Mr. KAYIRANGA Theobald along with the Head of the Social Development Unit, Mr. Ntirenganya Martin, visited Shingiro Sector and held the a similar meeting to analyze Human Security Issues profiling list, identifying which ones citizens can resolve on their own issues and which ones require support.
After thoroughly analyzing the issues and exchanging ideas, attendees committed to ensuring that some of the identified problems would be resolved by the concerned individuals within two months, while those needing external support would also be addressed within the same two-month timeframe. The other similar meeting took place in Musanze district and was led by the Vice Mayor in charge of economic development.
These meetings also aimed to consolidate information on existing issues and align understanding, with the goal of encouraging citizens to take an active role in solving their own problems and strengthening collaboration among institutions in addressing challenges affecting families.
